The FCB-EV9500L is equipped with a Sony 1/1.8-inch STARVIS CMOS sensor, featuring 4.17-megapixel resolution. Its core advantage lies in ultra-high light sensitivity. According to actual tests by Xuanzhan Technology, an official authorized distributor of Sony China, the sensor achieves a minimum illumination of 0.009 Lux (shutter speed 1/30s) in ICR-On mode (IR filter switching). This means even when ambient brightness is below the human visual limit (human eyes can only perceive blurred outlines at 0.01 Lux), the FCB-EV9500L still delivers clear, full-color, and blur-free images.



Technical Analysis

Large Sensor Design: Compared with traditional 1/2.8-inch models, the 1/1.8-inch sensor nearly doubles the single-pixel area, significantly improving light intake and effectively suppressing noise.


STARVIS Back-Illuminated Structure: By moving photodiodes to the back of the sensor, light refraction loss is reduced, further enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in low-light environments.

Wide Dynamic Range (WDR): In backlight scenarios (e.g., windows, tunnel entrances), WDR technology can capture bright and dark area details simultaneously, avoiding overexposure or underexposure. For example, in parking lot surveillance, it can clearly display vehicle license plates while showing the movements of personnel inside the vehicles.



Highlight Suppression & Point Light Source Avoidance: Automatically detects and suppresses halos and glare caused by strong light sources (e.g., street lamps, car headlights), ensuring uniform brightness between the center and edges of the image.


Intelligent Exposure Control: Real-time adjusts shutter speed, aperture and gain according to ambient light. In extremely dark environments, it prioritizes image clarity over simply increasing brightness.


Meanwhile, a reference point for spot auto-exposure can be set in a specific area, so that the auto-exposure level of the captured image only changes according to the target area and is not affected by brightness changes outside the area.



3. Super Stabilization: Stable Output in Bumpy Environments

Night vision surveillance devices are often deployed on mobile carriers (e.g., vehicles, UAVs) or in vibrating scenarios (e.g., bridges, ships). Traditional cameras tend to produce blurry images due to shaking. The Super Image Stabilization Technology of FCB-EV9500L ensures stability through a three-fold mechanism:


Built-in Gyro Sensor: Real-time detection of multi-dimensional vibration data, including horizontal, vertical and rotational movements.
